Confessions of an Enamel Nameplate

"I may admit that I am satisfied with my fate. I have come a long way until I have found my place on this door. I am not only an ornament but I am also capable of an important task: I wear the name of the family that lives here. Big deal. I have become a part of theirs. Apart from letting others know that they reside behind this door I give them protection. This power of mine springs from three sources:

From those who sent a word for me and heartily invited me to their home;
From the craftsperson, who designed and painted me;
From the fire, in which I was constantly burning until my metal body merged with the enamel and the NAME in it forever. I am the observer of the power and I accomplish this task of mine from my soul."

Introducing the Nameplate

I make my nameplates on sheet iron with multiple burnings. Besides technical and artistic solutions I give importance to the content and the mood residing in the name: What does it suggest? I synchronize the character of names with the given aspects in an intuitive way. Thus is given birth to each and every piece.

I appreciate the freedom in my work, however, I am open to particular ideas and imaginations since earlier pieces may serve as examples.
